Solar Power

The solar rooftop captive plant is an alternative solution to the increased tariff rates problem caused by the demand- supply gap in electricity. An innovative, environmental friendly solution for the rising and erratic power situation. The solar captive plant mainly consists of three components:
- solar photovoltaic (PV) modules,
- mounting structures for the modules and
- inverter or power conditioning unit.
Solar panels form an array and are held together with the help of mounting structures. These modules should be mounted at an appropriate angle for optimum generation. The solar panels convert the energy in the form of light into electricity in DC form (Direct Current). The DC electrical energy is converted to AC (alternating current) power by the power conditioning unit which is then used to power the load.

Span offers its clients two models namely:
Off – Grid system
In this type of system, battery backup or diesel generator is present. The system works independent of the conventional grid. Using the inverter, the battery backup or diesel generator powers the load during night and cloudy days.
